Ever wanted to link to a Filter page and have it filter the items to a specific Category Tag when the page loads? Well you could just use the Default Filter setting in Filter settings OR you can use the even more flexible method of using hash tags to accomplish this. Let's see how it is done.
Just add the has tag on the end of your URL formatted like so...
http://yabdab.com/demo/filter/catalog/#filter=Green+Icons

If you want to use spaces, just make sure you use the + in place of the spaces
